Lindfield is one of the oldest clubs in the county, having been established in 1747, and is part of a long and proud history of cricket in Sussex.
We currently run 7 senior teams, 5 on a Saturday and 2 on a Sunday, and play a mixture of league and friendly cricket.
The Saturday 1st and 2nd XIs have competed in the Sussex Invitation League for many seasons, while the 3rd XI, the Lindfield Swans, have played in Division 3 of the Stoner League. 2008 sees the 1st and 2nd XIs competing in the newly formed Sussex County League Division 3 while the 3rd XI, the Swans, have gained promotion to Division 2 of the Stoner League. We have also formed a Saturday 4th XI (the Cygnets) to play in the Stoner Conference to provide a bridge for our emerging Academy players into senior cricket.
Sundays see our teams playing friendlies with other clubs from around the County with one of the sides again focussed on developing our younger players.
The Club also runs a thriving Academy with over 200 members. We run teams in all age groups from under 9 to under 16 and have a growing number of players playing youth representative cricket at District and County level. Our team of qualified coaches run training sessions on the Common on Friday evenings and Sunday mornings throughout the season.
In addition to this, the Club hosts a cricket week every 1st week of August and a charity six-a-side event on the August Bank Holiday (The Lindfield Sixes).
We are always on the lookout for new members, whether playing or non-playing, young or old, and anyone interested should feel free to contact us (see link below)
